JFITNESS GOALS
The goal of JFITNESS is to increase or decrease your BMR with nutrition and movement. BMR or Basal metabolic rate is the energy your body uses everyday to maintain cellular functions like breathing, digesting foods, adjusting hormone levels, growing and repairing cells. Your resting metabolic rate (metabolism) is the rate at which your body burns energy when it’s at complete rest. By doing this you will be able to gain weight, lose weight and/or do body recomposition.
Your resting metabolic rate is largely determined by three factors:
1.Body size and composition-People who are larger and have more muscle mass tend to have a higher metabolic rate.
2.Gender- Males tend to have less body fat and more muscle mass, leading to a higher metabolism.
3.Age- As you age, you lose muscle mass and your metabolism slows.
