I'm a full-time educator who has always had an affinity for health and fitness! Throughout my own journey, I have experienced a variety of body changes. Through these changes i have learned techniques that have helped me reach my fitness goals. Recently, I have found fulfillment in sharing what I know about health and fitness with others and seeing their results!
I have twenty years of experience in the area of fitness. When I started training, there were no YouTube or Tik Tok videos to help. So, I went through a lot of trial and error and schooled myself through reading lots of books. My personal goal was to gain weight. I was very slim and tall, weighing in at 130 lbs. and standing at 6'3”. I didn’t know what to eat to reach my goal. I thought eating healthy and lifting weights was enough. As time went on, I realized I had to eat more food to gain weight. I’m what you call a “hard gainer”. If I don’t work out or eat enough - I don’t gain mass, and instead I lose it all. However, I didn’t know the volume of food I needed to consume to gain mass without putting on body fat. At times I felt like I looked good, but I didn’t know how to maintain it!
Looking back, I now realize and understand all the mistakes I made. Which is good for you! I can help you not make those same mistakes!
So yes, twenty years is a long time! I know firsthand that this journey can get boring and discouraging, and I know how difficult it is to stay motivated because I went through it. However, I remember how I felt when I was slacking off, so I pushed through those moments and whatever obstacles life brought to me. The journey is not easy! There will be ups, downs and life events that will happen. The one thing that you can never lose sight of is your personal fitness goal!
JFITNESS was created to motivate and help others reach their personal fitness goals. You will not have to endure the same mistakes I made! I made all the mistakes, so you won’t have to make them. I have tried all the popular diets (e.g. Keto, Paleo, Vegan, Atkins) and I have done various types of fasting. The fact that I have tried all these techniques will make it easier for me to accommodate each client according to their needs and wants. We will be on this journey together. You just have to trust the process!
